Cookson offers a variety of custom-manufactured standard roll-up fire service doors, Firemiser™ insulated roll-up fire doors, and roll-up counter shutters. Our overhead roll-up fire doors combine all the great features you have come to expect in a Cookson service door with the added benefit of fire protection.
Installing a fire door in areas that need climate control is not an issue either, as our Firemiser™ roll-up fire doors offer an insulated core that increases energy efficiency. When points of egress need to be protected from wall openings, Cookson’s counter fire doors are the perfect solution.
You’ll get fire-rated doors that will actuate all fire doors to close when connected to fire detection devices, smoke detectors, or building alarm systems.

All Cookson overhead fire doors are fire rated overhead doors have oil tempered torsion springs that are designed for over 50,000 open and close cycles. Our structural angle guides and bottom bars make our doors more durable and prevent damage that could prevent the door from fully closing during a fire event.
Fire doors and designed with ¾ hour, 1½ hour, 3 hour, or 4-hour fire ratings. Our coiling fire doors are approved for any wall type – concrete, structural steel, or masonry. Our fire door testing features will save you time and money.
Auto-test doors will automatically reset to normal operation once the alarm is cleared or power is restored. Our simple-test doors are reset by replacing the fusible link. Testing our doors when fully closed, will not damage them, and our doors do not release spring tension upon activation.
Overhead roll-up fire doors are custom made to your specifications. Standard construction is up to 30’ wide, 30’ high but custom sizes outside those sizes can be designed.
Cookson’s fire door curtains are manufactured from 22, 20 or 18 gauge galvanized steel coated in our GalvaNex™ finish (standard colors gray, tan, white or brown). Also available, 20 gauge stainless steel fire doors, as well as roll up fire shutters, are available in 22 gauge galvanized steel. Counterfire shutters are also available in 22 gauge stainless steel.
